Hostel movie trailer
This horror trailer uses fragmented, superimposed text to depict a story of a form of torture-house in which the events take place. The montage of scenes opens with an establishing shot that presents a decrepit and disgusting abandoned warehouse or something of the like. From here on the shots cut sharply into extreme close ups of filthy water and piping. This shows us the untended nature of the setting and the disgusting environment the characters have to endure. High angles are used to show us the torture weaponry that is going to be used which coincides with the text on screen describing such events. Although we are kept a part of the scene through close-ups the camera angle remains fixed which gives us the sense of being restrained similarly to the way the characters are.
